John's son Jerrell and I hung out often in high school and during summer breaks from college. One of my most vivid memories of Mr. Kendrick, was when Jerrell totalled his Nissan 260Z. The car was truly destroyed. Jerrell was able to walk away from the nasty wreck. John walked up and gave his son a huge hug and never once worried about the damage to the vehicle.
