John Claibe Kilpatrick's Obituary
John Kilpatrick of Arlington, TX passed away January 6, 2012 peacefully from the arms of his family to the loving arms of his Lord. Born June 30, 1928 in Waco, TX to J.B. Kilpatrick and Omah A. Kilpatrick. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Dawn E. Kilpatrick, his parents, brother & sister, and his sister-in-law, Joyce Parsons (Waco). He is survived by his children, Kathy, Kevin & Sharon Kilpatrick, and his grandchildren Kacee & Kari Kilpatrick; brother-in-law Don Parsons with many nieces and nephews in Waco, TX. John dedicated his life to the Lord, his church, his family and his friends. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1948-1953. As a Loyal Member, Deacon and Elder of East Dallas Christian Church since 1955, he served as youth sponsor, Sunday school teacher, Chairman of the Board, Evangelism Chair, Chairman of the Property Department and the Co-Founder & President of the East Dallas Community Center. Memorial contributions may be made to East Dallas Christian Church or a charity of your choice. John “Pepa” Kilpatrick was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 9 from 6-8pm at Restland Memorial. A family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 10 with a Celebration of Life Service at 2pm at East Dallas Christian Church.
