Many years have passed since Woodrow '59 and special people stand out – John and Barbara. Our paths have been different, but the joy of marriage longer than 50 years and dealing with Alzheimer's provide a foundation for the whole Lanius clan for generations to come. God's Peace.
Sincerest condolences to the Dr. Lanius family. I worked with Dr. Lanius in the operating room at Medical City. He was always so kind and considerate of the nursing staff. His surgical standards and talent were among the best. He was very well respected by the nursing staff and his peers. My heart goes out to the family, as he should have had many more years to enjoy life.
Although I never met Dr. Lanius I wanted to offer my condolences to the family. I am the grandson of James Risdon (JR) Lanius and the son of Lucille Lanius Adams. I remember hearing many endearing stories about Dr. Lanius and his father. May he rest in peace. William Lee (Bill) Adams

We will miss john so much. This was such a delightful man, so intelligent and full of life. Thank you Barbara, and family for allowing us to be a part of his life and care.
I so enjoyed meeting John and Barbara when he and his son John and fiancee Stacey, my niece, came out to Tacoma, WA, and took me out to dinner with them at Lobster Shop, Dash Point. There was much jovial sharing and laughter, and I loved that I got to have some one-on-one time with the Laniuses. My husband Wes and I send our condolences to the family.
We are so blessed to have know John. He was a good man and an awesome neighbor. Find comfort in knowing he will be missed, but is forever in our hearts. Rest well, Dr. Lanius. You are so deserving of the peace and comfort of God's love. Nicole and Dean Spaulding
