John Paul Marino's Obituary
John Paul Marino came into this world on July 3, 1979. For 38 years he blazed a trail that was uniquely his until his final moment on October 29, 2017. Throughout his life, John Paul was affectionately referred to as “J.P.” by many of his loved ones & close friends. He maintained an unwavering spirit full of love, loyalty, and appreciation for his family & heritage.J.P. grew up playing soccer around Dallas, Texas and graduated from Lewisville High School. He originally dreamed of becoming a member of the Dallas Fire Department like his father & brother before him. He started on this career path by becoming an Emergency Medical Technician; in this role he made a positive impact by providing care & support for many in-need patients. Despite his appreciation & fascination with fire science, life took him in a different direction. After a period of immense challenge, personal growth, and soul searching, J.P. developed a passion for the art of welding. He came to find beauty in the process of sculpting isolated materials together into a harmonious whole, a passion that led to his becoming a welding entrepreneur.Life presented many challenges for J.P., but he faced them bravely & head-on until the struggle was too great. From his life journey, we can learn that life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, rather, learning to dance in the rain.At age 10, John Paul was baptized and committed his life to Christ. He was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church and frequently testified to those in need of spiritual counsel.To cherish his memory, John Paul leaves behind his father, John Marino, his mother, Deborah Modesette, his step-parents, Richard Modesette and Connie Marino, his brother, Michael Marino, his step-brothers, Christopher Borders and Matt & Mike Modesette, his aunts, Brenda & Antonette Marino, and many close cousins.Service will be on Friday, November 3rd, 2017 at 11 o’clock at the Heights Baptist Church located at 201 Renner Road in Richardson, Texas. Interment will be at Restland Cemetery located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
