John Maynard's Obituary
John Maynard was born June 12, 1953, in Dallas, TX and passed away January 20, 2017, at The Heart Hospital Baylor, Plano. He was preceded in death by his parents Ogle & Ernestine Russell Maynard. John is survived by his daughter Carmen Maynard Smith and husband Daniel; grandchildren Aubrey, Olivia, and Savannah Smith; his sister Beverly Maynard Spencer and husband Daniel; his brother Russell Maynard and wife Cathy; nephew’s Charles Spencer and Alexander Maynard and niece Allison Spencer. John was a loving Father, grandfather, and friend to all. John had a passion for cooking and was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. He truly enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was never without company. He lived life to the fullest. John served our country in the Navy during the Vietnam War and enjoyed his work as an Engineering Technician at UTD for 16 years. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Russ Martin Show Listeners Foundation supporting the families of fallen police officers and firefighters.
