John Pierce Morgan II's Obituary
Mr. John Pierce Morgan II, age 76, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021, in Mansfield, Texas. He was born to parents, John Pierce and Fay Morgan on August 22, 1944, in Fort Worth, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Helen Marie; his sister, Lani Fay Briggs and her family; step-brother Don Rhine and his wife, Denise, and by his son, John Anderson. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Morgan attended Carter-Riverside High School in Fort Worth, from 1932 to 1966 and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. In 1976, he received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas in Arlington. His scholar achievements earned him a spot on the Dean’s list. He served with the United States Post Office for over 25 years and retired in April of 2005. Mr. Morgan enjoyed music, bowling, deer hunting, motorcycles, church and gardening.
Funeral services for Mr. Morgan will be held this Friday, July 16th, 2021 at the First Methodist Church, 777 N. Walnut Creek Dr., Mansfield, Texas, 76063 at 11:00 AM. There will be a visitation prior to the service starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas.
