John William Mueller's Obituary
John William Mueller passed away on April 3, 2024, in Allen, Texas. He was born to John and Elizabeth Mueller in Colorado City, Texas on January 1, 1940.
John was a proud graduate of Durant High School in Durant, Oklahoma in 1958 and joined the United States Navy shortly thereafter, spending 5 years serving his country. He then moved to Dallas, Texas, and began a career with Collins Electrics.
In 1975, John met and married the love of his life, Margaret Louise McIntire, and together they built a family and a life filled with love and laughter. John was a devoted father to sons Bill and Greg Mueller, and Jeff and Kevin McIntire. And later, as a beloved grandfather to Wesley and Callie Smith, and great-grandchildren Haley, Lacey, and Trinity McIntire, and Christopher and Clydell Colbath.
John and Louise were proud Owner-Distributors of Kirby Vacuums in Plano, Texas for many years, and built a great reputation with their many customers who loved to come into the store to look at the latest Kirby models and to also to engage in great conversation about shared interests, as well as the endless stories John pulled out of his memory bank.
John loved hunting, gardening, snow skiing in Colorado with family, and attending the Bill & Gloria Gaither concerts usually held every year in Dallas. John was an active member of Fellowship Bible Church in Plano for many years.
John is preceded by his parents, Reverend John and Elizabeth Mueller, sister Janet Palombo, son Bill Mueller and son Kevin McIntire.
A service to honor John’s life will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024, with a visitation at 1:00 PM and the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Reflecting on John’s life during the service will be his nephew, Lance Wilson, and his sister, Marilyn Cook. Dr. Gene Getz, his pastor and longtime friend, will officiate the service.
Serving as pallbearers are Larry Wilson, Lance Wilson, Luke Wilson, Wesley McIntire, James Gilbreath, and Gary Boyer.
