Going to miss seeing you Uncle John. I will remember all the times together. Your sense of humor will be missed by all but the memories of your monkey business will live on in our heads and hearts. A kind, man the world needs more of you. To our cousins our hearts go with each of you. We love you guys. Bo and Dina.

John Neal was a consummate professional in his work with the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS). He helped me many times to navigate my way through the daunting INS system, as I advocated on behalf of low income immigrants for Catholic Charities of Dallas. Mr. Neal was a stellar public servant in all respects. I extend my deepest sympathy to Mr. Neal?s family. I only knew him for a tiny slice of his very full and commendable professional life, but I am compelled to express what appreciation I have for him. May he rest in peace in the loving arms of our Lord. Vanna Slaughter Catholic Charities of Dallas

Kevin I am sorry to hear about your dad. I hope you are doing well. Thinking of you at this time. Always your friend Betty Noce Gregory
Nancy and I send our condolences to the Neal family. I spent many days with John while we were stationed together at Lordsburg and we went on a number of north country details together. I loved working with him as a professional and a friend. He was one of the best supervisors I ever worked for. Adios amigo, adios my friend. Hank Hays
First let me say my sincere prayer and condolenences to your family. I also send this message because while researching my own family history your family kept popping up. After much deliberation I found the answer. My father's name also is John David Neal, August 25, 1920 – July 28, 2015, my father also was a Veteran of the United States Army, my father also had come through (and I also lived with my uncle John Tholmer) in El Paso, Texas. It was not until coming to this most wonderful and honoring page was I able to assertain this was not MY father's information, and yet I wanted to share, and let you know I share in the same memory (my mother went home to the Lord in 2012). May the joy of the Lord be your continued strength and peace as it has been ours.
