NEAL, JOHN D. 64, of Sachse, TX ended his life’s journey at home on November 10, 2009. Born December 20, 1944 in Bonham, TX, to George E. and Alta Neal. Raised in Garland and married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Darby in 1964. Father of Chris Neal and Jennifer Petty (Greg). Proud grandfather of Justin Neal, Darby Neal, Thomas Strawn, Shawn Petty and Christopher Petty. Brother of Carol Hernandez. John’s faith and family were everything to him. He loved Southern Gospel music and baseball. He coached his kids and grandsons in a variety of sports for over 15 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Garland and retired from Kraft Foods with 31 years of service.
