John Wilburn Nolley's Obituary
John Wilburn Nolley, age 88, passed away on September 13, 2022 in Dallas, Texas. He was born to Henry and Effie Mae Nolley on July 12, 1934 in Provencal. Louisiana . John leaves his loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. During his life he served in the Army; and retired after working for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). John was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1338, and did volunteer work for the Texas Forestry Association. He loved to dance, mostly to county and western. He also loved Model Ts and motorcycles. He will be sincerely missed by his loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Nolley and Effie Mae Hawthorne Nolley; siblings Jimmie Sue DeLacerda, James Nolley, JoAnn Ivy. Janice Watley, and Jesse Nolley. He is survived by his brother Jerry Nolley; his daughters Nancy Nolley and Linda Carranza; granddaughter Alisha Carranza Isunza and her spouse Jonathan Isunza; and great-grandchildren Daelyn Isunza, Alivia Isunza and Christopher Isunza; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to the Alzheimer's Association and American Heart Association
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 10:00am in the Wildwood Chapel. Located within Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park - 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243
