Vicki, Ted and I were so shocked and saddened with the news. We remember all the fun we had when you lived across the street. All the Valentine card parties, the visits to the casinos and other happy times. Please know that you are in our prayers.

Vicki, I am so sorry for your loss. John was a good man. I will always remember him smiling and laughing all the times we came to your house for cards. The roving hearts parties you all hosted were so much fun! Good times, Good memories. Rest in peace John. You will be missed.

Uncle John had such an enormous presence when he walked into a room and had a voice and a laugh that no one can, or ever will be able to match. I will never forget the time I travelled for work to Dallas and Uncle John and Aunt Vicki took me out on my day off. I was thinking they would have time for a quick dinner or something, but of course they spoiled me from morning to night!! From drinks and snacks outside by the chimenea, then on to an amazing Mexican lunch where I indulged in my first sopapilla, then to a late afternoon movie (the secretariat), and lastly on to the most delicious Steakhouse!!! They basically had to roll me out of there!! I will never forget that fabulous day and night and I really needed family at the time after being on the road for so long. Of course I have a lot more amazing memories, but that day will stand out in my mind forever!!! I love you and miss you forever Uncle John, and of course I will always be thinking of you when eating Martys Pizza. XoXo. Jorie
We send sympathy to Vickie and all of John’s family. He was a kind, friendly neighbor and we too will miss seeing him at neighborhood gatherings. Our prayers continue as you journey through this difficult time. Dar and Tom Carlson💐
Now that John is in Heaven we fully expect him to put in a good word for the Dallas Cowboys to win the Superbowl this year-LOL. That is my favorite memory of John & Vicki coming over and watching the Cowboys. Love you Commish and will miss you dearly.
