John H. Raley, age 66, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in Rowlett, Texas. He was born on September 17, 1952 to John and Ernestine Raley in San Angelo, Texas. John married Becky Phelps on July 11, 1972 in Garland, Texas. He served in the United States Army for almost 23 years from June 1971 to July 1993 as a CWO2/Air Defense Artillery. After retirement from the military, he served as network operations manager at Verizon.He is survived by his wife, Becky Raley of Rowlett, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Berkman of Rowlett, Texas; son, Jay Raley of Thackerville, Oklahoma; son in law, Tim Berkman of Rowlett, Texas; granddaughter, Sarah Lala Shively of Forney, Texas; and grandsons, Joshua Lala of Rowlett, Texas, Nathan Lala of Rockwall, Texas, and Logan Berkman of Rowlett, Texas.Visitation will be on Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place on Monday, August 19, 2019 at 12:30 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Burial will take place after the service in the Court of Reflections in Restland Cemetery.
