John Clayton Rawlins' Obituary
Clayton was born in Dallas at Florence Nightingale Hospital in 1948.Graduated from Richardson High School, SMU with an Electrical Engineering Degree) and ETSU with a Masters in Technical/Vocational Education.Was proceeded in death by his parents, Robert E. And Juanita Rawlins of Dallas.He taught Electronics, Math, Solar Power and numerous other subjects at Mountain View and Eastfield Colleges , which are part of the DCCCD for over 40 years. He is also the author of the textbook “Basic AC Circuits”.He is survived by his wife, Patricia , his daughter Tina Rawlins, and son Tim Rawlins.Steam trains and music (especially Bob Dylan) were his hobbies. He liked cruising, riding on vintage trains and spending time at the lake driving his boat full of his family/extended family.In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society.Funeral service will be held on March 30, 2019 in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home at 12:30 PM.
