John B. Rogers' Obituary
John B. Rogers died Sunday morning, April 10, 2016. He was a veteran of War ll where he trained as a part of the Navy Amphibious Unit and the Korean War where he served in the Airforce. He was a long-time resident of Dallas. John had been a volunteer supporter of Wycliffe Bible Translators, first as a Friend of Wycliffe and later as a Wycliffe Associate, since 1961, both full and part-time. With his marvelous voice He sang in several church choirs and did solos for weddings, revivals, and church services. A technical writer, his user and installation manuals were praised in various trade magazines and by his peers. He is survived by his wife, Aggie Rogers; a daughter, Jeanette Ballew; a son, John Mark Rogers; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 15, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 265 W Pleasant Run Rd, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. Visitation is 11:00 am with Service 12:00 noon, and burial following at 2:00 pm at Dallas/Ft Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
