John W Schroeder's Obituary
John W Schroeder, age 75, passed away at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 10, 2019. He was born in 1943 in Waukegan, Illinois to Dr. John and Virginia Schroeder. He grew up in Waukegan where he formed many life long friendships. He attended Miami University in Oxford, OH and graduated from Carthage College in Kenosha Wisconsin.Following graduation he held several positions in management and consulting before retiring from Spencer Stuart in 2001 as a Partner. After he retired from consulting, John served as a member of the Board of Directors of American Excelsior.John was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed golf, tennis, hunting and was particularly fond of motor sports. He owned several motorcycles and vintage race cars and was a competitive driver, winning several trophies over the years.He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Sandra, and sons Troy (wife Joanna) and Todd and sisters Marine and Janet (husband Randy).Memorial services will be held at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX on Saturday, January 19th at 12:30 in the Wildwood chapel.
