John Williams Simmons' Obituary
John Williams Simmons was born on December 24, 1929 in Annona Texas and died at age 93 on June 3, 2023 in Greenville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife Veta L. Simmons, parents Hiram C. Simmons and Sudie F. Simmons. Also prceding him in death, were four brothers and his sister.
He is survived by his Daughter Lori Brookins and Husband Chiggar Brookins, Son John Simmons Jr. and Wife Lindsey Simmons, Son Scott Simmons and Wife Pam Simmons. Also Grandchldren Stacey Mackey, Stephanie Medlock , Shelly Mackey. Chris Currier, Kendra Bellinger, Ryan Simmons, John Simmons III, Hunter Simmons and seven Great Grandchildren, Brothers Eugene Simmons and Tom Simmons
John and Veta were married on September 2, 1950 and enjoyed 71 years of marriage together. He was active and a charter member at Casa Linda Methodist church and a current member of Lake Highlands methodist Church. He was a Scoutmaster of Troop 744 for many years and enjoyed the outdoors with family and friends.
Funeral Services for John W. Simmons will be held on Wednesday June 14, 2023 at 10:00am at Wildwood Chapel Restland cemetery with burial to follow. Visitation and viewing with the family will be held one hour before at 9:00am.
