John Whitney Steltzlen's Obituary
John Whitney Steltzlen passed away on October 4, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on October 18, 1936, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Gerald William Steltzlen and Mary Louise Aggas.
John graduated from Tulsa High School and later from East Texas University in Commerce, Texas. He had a passion for travel, dancing to Cajun music, and visiting Louisiana. Above all, he cherished his family, especially his grandchildren and wife of 60 years, Dilia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and son, Mark Steltzlen.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dilia; his daughter, Deborah Louise Spanier; his sons, Roger William Steltzlen (Melba), Michael Jerrod Steltzlen (Michele), and Kevin Steltzlen; his brother, Gerald William Steltzlen; his sister-in-law, Vel Martinez; his grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Jordan, and Jason (Spanier), Jerrod Andrew, Anna, Cailey, Colin, Chloe, Cameron (Steltzlen), Christian, Taya, Hannah, and Gary Don (Pope); and his two great-granddaughters, Audrey and Brooke (Lease).
John’s warmth, love for life, and dedication to his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
