Mr. John Edward Terry,86, of Garland, Texas died September 17, 2019 in Richardson, Texas. He was born August 20, 1933 to Isaac Walton Terry and Bertha Duff in Pilot Point, Texas.John Terry married Shirley Ann Webb on January 19, 1957 in Sherman, Texas. He was a machinist by trade and a Door Greeter for Walmart for twenty-two years. John was a member of the Garland Emergency Care. He also served in the Army from April 8, 1953 to April 7, 1955 as a Private.John was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Webb; daughter, Susan Delene Long and son, John Allen Terry. He is survived by his daughters, Nadine Patten of Weatherford, Texas and Corrie Barnett of Fort Worth, Texas; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Victory Baptist Church.Funeral arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
