So sad to hear of Johnny‘s passing. Johnny and I were good friends while training as 91C 20 medics. We trained at Valley Forge. We were in the same class. We did lots of things together there in Pennsylvania. I was injured in a exercise we had for the hospital and was a patient at the hospital for several months. Johnny took care of my car and some other things. I knew his wife at that time. Vaguely, he was living off post for a period of time, and I really can’t remember his wife’s name. After leaving Valley Forge we found that we were both attached to the 101st airborne division and relatively close to each other in Vietnam. We both were in charge of an aid station and I guess we both had very similar tours there in Vietnam once I visited him while in Vietnam . Living in North Carolina We lost contact with each other for a long period . He remembered that I was from a small town in North Carolina. Call Spring Hope and tracked me down. It was fun talking to him several times sense of the old times. I worked my life in a laboratory and I guess he was with Blue Cross and Blue Shield that I can remember. it was a pleasure knowing Johnny and we had lots of good times together. I always knew that he was a Texan at heart and loved reminiscing. The old times this is for Tiffany and I hope she receives it.
