Even though I didn't know John personally, I know his sister, Mary Ruth, (Tisser). His mother was in my mother's (Mary Schmitt's) Sunday School Class. As youth at First Baptist, we had many wonderful experiences together. I grieve at the loss and pray for all the family. (My brother, Allan, is also a deacon at FBC.)
