John W. Davis' Obituary
John W Davis was born July 2, 1962. He grew up in Garland and attended South Garland High School. He later attended Dallas Baptist University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Marketing. John enjoyed a successful career as a marketing executive at several Dallas companies including, Nortel, MCI and Wyle Electronics. John later realized his dream of starting his own business in 2001. His business, Dallas Visual Design Group, provided photography and marketing services for over 15 years. In 1985, John married the love of his life, Emily Tinney. They were happily married for 32 years. In 1998, they became the proud parents of Eric and Jessica Davis. John is survived by his wife Emily, children Eric and Jessica, sister Diana, brother Gerald Davis, numerous nieces and nephews, and lifelong friend Mitch Fieger. John fought a brief and brave battle with brain cancer. He will always be remembered for his outgoing and fun-loving attitude. John was an outstanding husband, father, brother, and friend. He never met a stranger, John could talk to anyone and possibly sell ice to Eskimos. He was an outstanding Christian example to all who knew him. John will long be remembered and forever loved by all who knew him.
