John Kendrick Wright was born August 14, 1920 in Vernon, Texas and passed away on February 11, 2017 in Plano, Texas. Preceded in death by wife, Josephine Margaret Wright; brothers, William N. Wright and Harold Eugene Wright; sister Janet Skinner; parents, Jesse N. Wright and Bessie B Wright. Survived by daughter, Dixie and husband, George Higginbotham; daughter, Betty and husband, Tony Jackson; son, Gary Wright and wife, Melinda; 5 grand children, Gregory (Bonnie) Wright, Katy Wright, Tracy (Daniel) Gilada, Jessica Jackson, and Chelsea (Brad) Coleman; and 2 great grandchildren, Jackson and Brennen Coleman. Service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 10 AM in the Wildwood Chapel with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75243.
