John P. Yost's Obituary
John P. Yost was born on December 10, 1949 in Norfolk, Virginia, and went to be with the Lord January 5, 2008 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 58. He grew up in Overland Park, Kansas, and attended the University of Kansas. Upon graduation, he was commissioned in the United States Marine Corps where he attained the rank of Captain and served six years as a helicopter pilot. He was employed by Wayne Dalton Corp. of Dallas as a territory sales representative. He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Yost, brother Jerald Yost and wife Diana, and nieces Jessica and Jena Yost. He is preceded in death by his father John E. Yost, who passed away the day before his son’s death. He will be will be greatly missed by his family and many close friends. He loved the Rocky Mountains and nature, and was never happier than when he was in the mountains enjoying the scenery and observing wildlife.
