Born on September 26, 1918 in Honey Grove, TX and passed away on February 14, 2008 in Richardson, TX. Loving husband, father, and grandfather. Johnie was a resident of Richardson for 56 years. He was an wood carver and oil painter, and worked in the lumber business. He is preceded in death by his parents, O.C. and Nellie Kirk; sister, Hazel Going; sister, Lois Orr; brothers Raymond, William, Robert, and James Kirk; and granddaughter, Julie Ann Lena. He is survived by wife of 67 years, Edith B. Kirk; son and daughter-in-law, Max and Amelia Kirk; grandchildren, Kevin Kirk, Sean Kirk and wife, Heather, Freddie and wife, Julie Tomlinson, and Howard Tomlinson; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Katie and Lauren Kirk, Justin Tomlinson, and Brittney, Courtney, and Natalie Tomlinson; brother, Lloyd Kirk; sister, Ruby Faye Davis; sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
