Preceded in death by mother, Juanita McDowell. Johnnie is survived by daughters, Gwendolyn McDowell, Angela Hamilton; stepson, Nathan Bollin; grandchildren, Chad Brown, Tyree Rustin, Yasmine Rustin; father, Felton McDowell (Ms. Jewel); sisters, Janie McDowell of Garland, Texas, Cherlyn Clark of Dallas, Texas, Valerie McDowell of Garland, Texas, Rotonda Morgan (Landa) of Dallas, Texas; and brothers, Jimmy McDowell of Dallas, Texas, Alton McDowell (Ann) of New York. Services will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
