Johnnie Harrell's Obituary
Johnnie Christine Harrell (94) died at her residence in Dallas, TX on 1 January 2016 of natural causes. Johnnie was a depression era farm girl from East Texas (near Hughes Springs) born on 22 November 1921. After receiving her high school diploma and working as a waitress in the café in town, she moved with her family to Dallas, Texas around the time of World War II. She assisted with the war effort by building warplanes at the North American plant in Grand Prairie, Texas. Through others, met Lynn Harrell and married after the war. They settled in Oak Cliff and raised one son, Bobby Harrell who lives in Livingston, NJ. She is survived by one sister, Wanda, her son Bobby and 2 grandchildren Katie Lynn and John. Family viewing will be Sunday 3 January 2016 at Restland Funeral Home from 2p-4p. The service will be at the Wildwood Chapel at 10am Monday 4 January 2016 at Restland Funeral Home. She will be remembered, loved and missed by many. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
