Johnnie Kennedy's Obituary
Johnnie Thomas Kennedy was born on March 23, 1928 in Dallas, Texas. He lived here his whole life and passed away on July 16, 2015. He graduated from Crozier Tech High School in 1948. After high school, he went to work for Continental Gin Company till 1961. He then went to work for Texas Instruments and retired in 1991. Johnnie had many outside interests. He loved watching baseball whether it be at the ball field or on T.V. His favorite was Little League Baseball or Girls Softball. He was an avid Ice Hockey fan. For many years, he was a season ticket holder for the Dallas Stars. Johnnie had an interesting hobby of making quilts for his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Kennedy, mother Minnie Alice Beach, father John Henry Kennedy, sisters Thelma Collins and Winnie Mae Maybery, and brother Marvin Kennedy. He is survived by his daughter Judy Wells, his son Mark Kennedy and wife Nancy Kennedy; his grandchildren Stephen Wells, Jordan Kennedy and wife Amy Kennedy, Jennifer Street and husband Jason Street, and Virginia Kennedy. He is survived by one sister Maudie Rutledge, 4 nieces and several great nieces and nephew. A memorial service will be on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 12:30PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
