Johnnie Louis Mclendon, age 97 of Garland, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, in Garland, Texas. Johnnie Louis Mclendon was born to his loving and thoughtful parents, Alpheus Mclendon and Bessie Mclendon on Sunday, November 7, 1920, in Longview, Texas. Johnnie leaves his daughter, Peggy Lynch; sons, Randy and his wife, Betty McLendon and Jamie Mclendon; sister, Allene Roach; he also survived by his grandchildren, Justin, and more grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Mclendon, his son, Roger Glen McLendon, and grandson, Jarrett Lynch.He married Geneva Ivie on December 27, 1947. John served his country by joining and serving in The United States Army from 1943 to 1945. The family will receive guests on Sunday, September 30, 2018, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home.
