Johnnie Edward Pearson's Obituary
Johnnie Edward Pearson Born – December 29, 1941 – Waco, Texas Went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2009 Johnnie was an only child of James Edward and Lillian Kolinek Pearson, who preceded him in death. He attended Waco Public Schools and graduated from Baylor University in 1964 with a BBA in Accounting. He began his career in Dallas, Texas with Pear, Marwick, Mitchell, and Company as a CPA (now KPMG Peat Marwick) and later became an audit partner with Grant Thornton & Company. Johnnie was also the Chief Financial Officer of several companies including Modesto Holding Company, Steere Tank Linn, Darling Delaware Company, Cardinal Investment Company, and Pioneer Texas Corporation in a 40 year career as a CPA and financial officer. He was a member of Texas Society of CPA’s and American Institute of CPA’s. Johnnie is loved and survived by Pamela Atkins Pearson, his wife. Also three daughters, Melinda Luk-Paszyc and husband, Andrew of California, Meredith Dieterich and husband, Lindsay of Waco, and Sarah Pearson; son James Pearson of Dallas, two stepdaughters, Jennifer Colella and Jayne Colella, and two grandchildren, Lathan and Chloe Dieterich as well as many relatives and friends. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Restland Memorial Chapel. The Celebration of Life will be 10:00 AM, Monday, November 23, 2009 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
