Mr. Johnny Wayne Corum, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, in Plano, Texas. He was born on Friday, April 5, 1940, to his loving and thoughtful parents, Leo Clinton Corum and Margaret Juanita Hicks in Dallas, Texas. He married Charlene Howell on June 8, 1962 in Oak Cliff, Texas. He worked as a Dallas Police Officer for 29 years. He was a member of Spring Creek Church of Christ, The Dallas Police Retired Officers Association, and Dallas Retired Police and Firefighters Association. He served in the Coast Guard from 1960 to 1968. He is survived by his wife, Margie Charlene of Plano, Texas. two daughters; Patricia Hickman (Randy) and Sherri Corum of McKinney, Texas, two sons; Michael Corum (Thomas Chumbres, Jr.) of Sacramento, California and Timothy Corum (Shanna) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a sister Carolyn Harvey (Bill) of Rowlett, Texas, 7 grandchildren, Scott Turrentine, Blake Hickman (Jessica), Haley Hickman, Amanda Hickman, Isabella Corum, Isaiah Corum and Illianna Corum; and 2 great-grandchildren, Ethan and Brynn Hickman. Mr. Johnny Wayne Corum will be sincerely missed by his loving family, his devoted friends and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him.Visitation for Mr. Johnny Wayne Corum will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home.
