Johnny Ray Taylor's Obituary
Johnny Ray Taylor was born on November 17, 1931 in a farm house between Nevada and Josephine, Texas and passed away on December 28, 2014 in Wylie, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Melvin Taylor; mother, Gertrude Meade Taylor and sister Dorothy Taylor George. He is survived by his son, Ron Taylor and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Robin Taylor Somgynari and husband, Mark; son, Scott Taylor; grandson Gavin Taylor; granddaughter, Madeline Taylor and his sister Ruby Turner. Johnny graduated from Buckner’s Orphans Home in Dallas, TX in 1949 then served in the US Air Force between 1949 and 1955 spending time in Japan, Guam and Okinawa during the Korean War. Johnny retired from the US Post Office in 1988. A graveside servcie for Johnny will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 03, 2015 at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238 at Restland Road.
