Jorge Alan Fernandez-Romero's Obituary
Jorge Alan Fernandez-Romero, age 52, official date of passing: February 19, 2020, in Irving, Texas. He was born in New York, New York. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in the Bronx, NY and LaGuardia Community College in Queens, NY. Jorge worked in retail for several companies in NYC and Irving. His fun sense of humor always lit up the room. He was tremendously successful given the cards he was dealt from birth and childhood. Jorge is survived by his father, Jose R. Fernandez-Romero (Irma); sisters Teresa E.F. Romero (Steve Hoad) and Laura R. Kogan (Craig); niece and nephew, Emma and Andrew Kogan; step-siblings Aristides, Bruce and Ibeliset Li; Aunts Dolores Fernandez, Blanca Fernandez, Barbara Arnold, Marion Arnold, and Sally Worden (Dennis); Uncle Jerry Arnold (Tina); and several cousins, including Ana Maria (Jimmy) Perez, Gustavo (Maria) Fernandez and Maria Austrich “Charo” Fernandez. Jorge was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Margaret Arnold, nephew Rowan William Finnie (son of Teresa E.F. Romero); Uncles Jorge Fernandez, Basilio Fernandez, David Arnold, and Jim Arnold; and Aunts Lynn Gearhart and Robin Arnold-Williams (John Williams). A private graveside funeral for family members was held on February 28 at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery.
