Jose Calixto's Obituary
Jose Calixto Luciano, age 63, was born on July 8, 1959 in Tlapehuala, Guerrero Mexico. He was a loving husband, father and brother, passed away peacefully at his house in Garland, TX on July 20, 2022 after a courageous battle with stomach cancer.
Jose Calixto was the oldest of 4 children. Jose finished High School and later joined the Mexican Army in Guerrero, Mexico, and proudly served his country for 6 years.
Jose Calixto met his wife Emilia Cardenas on April 1979 in Guerrero, Mexico. They fell in love instantly and knew they both shared a love for a family and decided to start their own. Jose and his wife Emilia had 7 Children. Jose is survived by his loving wife Emilia, their 6 children Rafael, Graciela, Ana, María del Rosario, Jose and Edgar Calixto, 25 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In the year 1984 Jose Calixto migrated to the United States and became a USA Citizen in 1996.
Jose Calixto was known as a generous, devoted, light hearted and compassionate soul. In the year 2000, he was one of the first pioneers who started his landscaping business in his community although having a language barrier, Nothing stopped him from succeeding. He become a role model to others. Jose Calixto was a great example to follow. He was a hard working, dedicated man who loved spending time with his precious family. He always put in the extra effort for his wife, children’s, grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s, caring for their every need. His family was his one priority.
Although Jose left behind his beautiful family, he will always be in their hearts and minds for the for the rest of their lives.
