Joseph Darr Brandstetter's Obituary
BRANDSTETTER, JOSEPH DARR, passed peacefully from this world on June 28 in San Antonio. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Fannye Brandstetter. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Manda Brandstetter; his brothers, Bill Brandstetter of Rockford, IL and John Brandstetter of Libertyville, IL; his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Marilie Brandstetter of Longview; his daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Rusty Kutz of Plano. Joe is also survived by his step children: Terri McClung, Ken Barden, Mike Barden, Lee Barden, Laura Gabbei, and Rose Longoria. “Papa Joe” leaves 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Joe served as a naval pilot during WW2, graduated Oklahoma State, earned his law degree and was a special agent for the Treasury Department. He was an avid bicyclist and marathoner. Viewing will be at Restland Funeral Home on Greenville Ave. in Dallas on July 2, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Rosary will be at St Thomas Aquinas Church in Dallas on July 3, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Those who wish, may send a donation to the American Cancer Society.
