GOMES, JR., JOSEPH FRANCIS Born January 17, 1940 in Sacramento, CA and passed away at home on September 12, 2007 in Plano, TX. He is survived by his beloved wife, Valerie Gomes. Father to his sons, Thomas and wife, Sara, Todd and wife, Atalya; daughter, Tabitha and husband, Jeff; grandpa to 4 grandchildren, Maya, Felix, Amanda and Zoe and brother to 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Mr. Gomes was a college graduate and Vietnam Veteran in the Marines. He was a Senior Vice President of Southland Corporation and Blockbuster. He was a friend of the Unitarian Universalist Church. He was a man of honor. Visitation will be 6:00-7:00 PM, Monday, September 17, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at D.F.W. Cemetery.
