Joseph Lancaster Jr.'s Obituary
Joe, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend died on August 7, 2008. He will be missed by all who knew him for his gregarious and wonderful person-ality. Joe was born in Dallas on January 26, 1946. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson, then attended North Texas and interrupted his education to join the Marines. Joe proudly served as an Officer in the Marines and then returned to Dallas and graduated from SMU. Joe was an outstanding member of the Commercial Real Estate Comm-unity having built numerous shopping centers in the Dallas area. He began his career with Henry S. Miller, worked with Weitzman Group and then owned his own company Arcus Realty. Joe was the kindest, most generous person you would ever want to meet and will be missed by all who survive him. He leaves the love of his life his wife Christy Lancaster, his son Blake Penn and Ashley Cox, his daughters Tricia Lancaster, and Ashley Cunniff and husband Tony Cunniff. His precious grandchildren Alden, Jackson and Lilly. He will be missed by his in-laws Carol and Phil Laquey and Bob and Barbara Williams. Sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Barry Zale, Kelly and David Halpert, Bart and Mimi Williams, Carol and Glenn Lickstein, Brooks and Jan Laquey and Linda Zawadzki. He has numerous nieces and nephews and an abundance of friends. Visitation will be 4 to 6PM Sunday August 10, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Monday, August 11, 2008 at Wilshire Baptist Church.
