I have known Sonny since the 1970's. My mom (JoAnn Campbell was Beverly's (Sonny's sister) best friend and she has known Sonny since he was 08 years old. Sonny hired me after college to be one of his managers at Minyard's Food Stores. I have always looked up to Sonny. He is more than just a friend, past boss and mentor to me. He holds a place in my heart the same as a close uncle to me. I sent Sonny and Gretchen one of my books that was published and I will never forget him texting me and saying: "Skip, I am proud of you." My family and I give our condolences to the William's family. I know Sonny holds a close relationship with Jesus Christ and right now he is with Jesus in Heaven. We can have comfort in knowing as Christians, we will see, talk and be with Sonny again when that day comes we are called to Heaven also. I look forward to seeing and talking to my friend Sonny once more. Sonny, bye for now and 'Job Well Done" my friend. We Love You.

Gretchen and Family-

Sincere condolences on Sonny's passing. To me, Sonny was "the salt of the Earth"; you
could not find a better man. In all the adventures that he undertook, Minyards, Highland
Park Pharmacy and Lunch Counter, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Sidekicks, State Fair of Texas and community civic roles, Sonny was a leader and he will be missed! I will particularly miss just going into the Pharmacy, sitting at the counter with a chocolate milk
shake and discussing community matters with him. Sonny was "The Best" and I am proud to have known him!
