Josephine Ellis' Obituary
ELLIS, JOSEPHINE Born May 14,1930 in Altus, Oklahoma and died August 30, 2025, in Allen, TX. Preceded in death by her husband, Howard Perry Ellis, her parents, Faye Bullington and George Erie Wright, brothers, William Comer Wright and George Earl Wright. Survived by her daughter, Karen Hollingsworth and husband Mike; daughter, Jan Apthorp and husband Chuck; three grandchildren: Chanda Walker and her husband Lance, Daniel Hollingsworth and his wife, Jen, and Amanda Hollingsworth; and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. A long-time member of the Kissin’ Kuzzins Square Dance Club. She was “Mimi” to her immediate family. She was at her best when she felt that she was serving others. She always had a “servant’s heart”.
Visitation and viewing will be Friday, September 12, 2025, at Spring Valley United Methodist Church from 10 AM to 11 AM. Memorial service will be at 11 AM also at Spring Valley. The grave side service will be at 2:30 at Restland.
