Josephine Hwang's Obituary
Mrs. Josephine Chen Hwang was born on November 11, 1922 in Shanghai, China. Raised in a Christian family, Josephine accepted Christ as her savior at a very young age. She led a life devoted to serve the Lord. She served as one of the pianists at the Grace Baptist Church in Shanghai. 1n 1963, she escaped from China with her mother, Hannah Chen, to Hong Kong and eventually moved to the United States in 1966. Josephine always remembered and supported her remaining family in China. Married to Reverend Jacob Hwang, a pastor of the Church of Nazarene in Santa Monica, California, Josephine faithfully served God alongside her husband. In 2001, Josephine and Jacob moved to Dallas, Texas, where they lived together until Jacob passed away in 2007. She is survived by multiple nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
