Josephine K. Prosser Ferguson's Obituary
Josephine K. Prosser Ferguson, age 91, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022, in Whitney, TX. She was born to John Fitzgerald Prosser and Katherine Matteson on Thursday, March 5, 1931, in Betula McKean County, PA. Josephine leaves her loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. She will be sincerely missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
Josephine is preceded in death by: her parents, John and Katherine Prosser; her husband of 71 years, Thomas J. Ferguson; and her son, Jeffery T. Ferguson.
She is survived by: her daughters Darlene Linnell and her spouse Jay and Faith Battaile and her spouse Ray Scarborough; her grandchildren DiAnna Linnell, William Linnell, John Paul Linnell, Clifton Teague, Jamie Lynn Battaile and Brittany Scarborough; her great-grandchildren Tristian C Linnell, Thomas W. Linnell, Virgil (“Bug”) Linnell, Dominic Battaile, Madison Scarborough and Matthew Donald; and her sister, Jeanette Prosser Sweeley of Smethport, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Josephine’s memory be made to Fisher House (fisherhouse.org).
