Nell Poston Griffin was called home to her Lord Sunday, April 7, 2019. Nell was the loving daughter of Jerry and Abbie Poston born July 19, 1936 in Hunt County Texas. Mother to Cathy Simmons of Frisco,Tx.,Linda Ortiz and husband George of Houston, Tx. Guy Meredith Jr. Of Frisco, Tx. Step-son Jim Griffin and wife Judy. Granny to Anthony Griffin, Meredith Widman, April Ortiz, Lisa Owens, Guy Meredith the 3rd, Jessica “Jake”Turner, Felicia Bracamontes and 13 great grandchildren and one on the way. Big sister to Nancy Hilton and Jimmy Poston.Nell loved her church and the many dear friends she made in more than 20 years at The Vale Baptist Church of Sunnyvale, Tx.Nell loved to read, play solitaire, words with friends and train “dominoes ” with friends and family.Nell spent many years as a secretary and bookkeeper.Nell was proceeded in death by her parents, loving husband Jim Griffin Sr., brothers J.V.,Vernon, Wayne, W.E.”Bill”, and Herman”Sonny” Poston and sister Ruby Sims.Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at The Vale Baptist Church in Sunnyvale at 3018 N. Belt Line Rd, Sunnyvale, Tx., by Dr. Charles Wilson ” Brother Charlie” on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 1:00 PM.
