Joy Ghafur's Obituary
passed away on December 26, 2008 in Mesquite, TX. She was born on July 6, 1940 in Jackson, MS. She was the best wife and mother in the world. Family was important to her and she loved life. Her kitchen and home were always open to friends and family. She gave from her heart and was sincere in all that she did and said. Joy is survived by her husband for 44 years, Abdul; daughters Miriam Allen, Leila McBride and husband Bill, Sara Ghafur; brothers Richard Phillips and wife Helen, Ron Phillips, and Randy Phillips; nephews Robert Phillips and wife Michele, Joseph Phillips, and Michael Phillips. She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2008 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. in Restland Memorial Chapel.
