Joy Christian Jennings, age 91, of Garland, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025. She was born on December 20, 1933, in Bertram, Texas, to J.N. and Alice Faith.
Joy married Homer Jennings on February 5, 1977, in Balch Springs, Texas. A devoted member of First Baptist Church of Garland, Joy will be remembered for her unwavering faith, love for her family, and dedication to her church community.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Homer Jennings; her son, Keith Christian; her parents; her brother, Winston Faith; and her grandson, Matthew Christian.
Joy is survived by her sons, Beryl Christian Jr. and Phil Alan Christian; stepchildren, Janice Johnson and Mike Jennings; her sister, Dixie Routh; and many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Joy’s life will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas. Pallbearers will be her loving grandsons Andrew Christian, Nick Johnson, Michael Christian, Jason Christian, Justin Prachyl, Stephen Christian.
