Joy Mae McElyea, 73, of Allen, Texas passed away on October 28, 2020 in Allen, Texas. She was born on March 21, 1947 to Delmar Oakley and Vivian Oakley in Clinton, OK. She retired from Buena Vista Pictures/Walt Disney of 15 years. She was a member of Soul Ministries and First Baptist Church in Allen, Texas. Joy was dedicated to her work with special needs kids. She enjoyed traveling with the Jamboree Travelers. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and through her gift of gab has never met a stranger. She is survived by her sons, Casey Taylor (Shannon), and John McElyea (Kathleen); and 4 grandchildren, Kristin, Isabella, Westly, and Luke.
