Joy Elaine Mitchell's Obituary
Mitchell , Joy Elaine was born on December 20, 1932 in Harris, Missouri to parents, Albert and Goldie Farley. She passed peacefully on October 23, 2013. Joy is preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Samuel Mitchell. They were married at Keesler Air Force Base in 1950 and together until his death in 2011. Joy attended Chillicothe High School and SMU. She was the proprietor of Joy E. Mitchell Real Estate Co. in Preston Center where she worked for close to 20 years. Joy was a member of Midway Hills Christian Church. She will be remembered by her son, Robert Mitchell and wife, Caroline; sisters, Chris Farley Hopper, Marjorie Farley Campbell, and Carolyn Farley Whitt and other relatives. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Restland Memorial Park.
