Joy Thomas' Obituary
Passed away into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 12, 2009. Joy was born on October 25, 1947 in Carbon Hill, Alabama. She was a registered barber and hair stylist and always cut and styled hair with her own special flair. Joy had and excellent sense of humor and enjoyed making other people laugh. She was a striking woman with a beautiful thick head of hair, a bright smile, mischievious eyes and very intelligent. She loved her husband, James, her son, Anthony, and her dog Bear. Joy was full of life and always lived life on her terms. She will be sorely missed by her family and all that knew her. She is survived by her devoted husband of 33 years, James Wyatt Thomas II, and her loving son, Anthony Thomas, father James Bradley, sisters, Jeannie Steel and Lisa Bradley, and her borthers Daivd Bradley, Michael Bradley and Shawn Bradley. She was preceded in death by her mother, Erma Hamilton, her daughter, Dawn Bradley, and her brother, Pat Bradley. Visitation will be on Friday May 15 from 10:00am to 10:45am at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held on May 15th at 11:00am at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the SPCA, 362 S. Industrial, Dallas, Texas 75207.
