Joy and I have been friends since 1950. When she graduated from high school her mother thought it would be nice if we took a trip to New Orleans to visit her dad. We had a blast. We would talk every few months thru the years, her health prevented her visiting VA, so the talks were our way of staying connected. I will miss this great gal, she was beautiful inside and out. Always there for her friends and family. Slick and Scott were her life after Mart passed away. I know they will miss her. My prayers and condolences to the family. I sure am going to miss you Granny! You will always have a very special place in my heart! Thank you for accepting me as your own granddaughter from day one! I love you!! I will always cherish the special memories we had together. At least now you are not suffering and you are with our Lord and Savior as well as finally dancing with your husband again after 46 years apart.
