Sister #3, Joyce Abbey lived a wonderful 1950’s life in suburban Dallas TX. Her 3 bedroom, 2 bath home was soon filled with 5 children and a husband, Harold, who went to work 5 days a week. She had figured out that if you did your chores and had dinner planned by noon, the whole afternoon was hers and she wisely chose to take a nap. They even had an Airstream trailer and a boat. Harold loved playing volleyball, horseshoes, swimming, and camping. They all looked forward to the annual ski trip to Breckenridge, CO. Joyce loved playing card games. Her brain tumor was only a bump in the road. With Harold as a coach, she was soon back on her feet – even got her driver’s license back so she could go looking for dolls – her one passion. Her family played and prayed together; today they stand and praise her.
Sisters #4 and #5, Priscilla Newman and Freida Milliman.
