Love that you included part of Grandmother Smith letter. I read that several times a year. Love the part where she is speaking to her husband on his deathbed. She asks if she can go with him and he says no one can go with him , but she can follow. We can all follow. What a hope we have. Love you so much, Janice. You have your mothers heart . I’m sure Keith and Jodie have have the love of you parents deep in their hearts also. Wish I could be with you. I’m the camp nurse for our Shining Stars Summer camp. Can’t let them down this late. I have many childhood and adolescent memories of times that my family and the Bamsch family spent together at one of our homes. There was always wonderful food. The kids played and the adults played a game at the table. Sometimes we went camping or fishing. One time at the Bamsch home, Joyce had battered and fried strips of what my sister, brother, and I thought were beef. We were thoroughly enjoying the strips when I heard Joyce tell my Mother that the strips were liver! Leave it to Joyce to prepare liver the only way I ever liked eating it! I can see her now in heaven preparing some favorite foods for Bill, her family already in heaven, and Jesus. What a blessing Joyce was to so many! Absent from the body, present with the Lord.

I’m sad by the loss of Joyce…..and know how difficult this is for everyone…She was kind, warm, and loving….and I count it a true blessing to have known her….I have many fond memories of our times together and had the privilege of attending Bible Study with her for years….her smile always had in incredible welcoming as well as a little bit of mischief….I know she is at peace….and is now with her heavenly family…I’m thankful for my visit with her this past January…we spent several hours sharing our lives and catching up..God’s peace to her entire family
