Mrs Joyce M Brown's Obituary
On July 9th, 2022 the Lord called Joyce home. Her journey to heaven did not begin at the hospital that week, but rather decades before when she committed her life to Christ and entered Bible Study Fellowship. She was so eager to study the bible, apply it to her life, and become closer to Jesus. She was a devoted prayer warrior for anyone in need, and her legacy is the prayers she poured over her family, which she adored. She was married to her husband, Dorvin, for 50 years and loved being a stay-at-home mother to her two daughters, Susan and Cheryl, when they were young. Her grandchildren Jason (Jenny) and Sarah (Matt), great grandchildren (Jalyn, Judah, Jessa, Macie, Ellie and Sadie) together with her granddogs brought her tremendous joy. Joyce also had a great appreciation for God’s creation. She grew amazing plants and rescued countless animals.
Joyce’s sweet, thoughtful countenance was peppered with an unexpected feistiness. You never really knew which blend you would experience :-). Even in her fragile condition during her last family visit before she passed, she had the group doubled over in laughter more than once. Although the Drs. assured the family she had weeks left, Joyce repeatedly called to the Lord for help. Just hours later, He answered by ending her suffering and replacing it with eternal life with Him. She was loved dearly and will be missed greatly, but we rest in God’s promise that because of our faith in Him, we will be together again.
“Her children arise and call her blessed” (Proverbs 31:28).
“Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23).
